Enhancia reached out to me to create a unique video for the release of the Plume companion software for their midi controlling ring Neova.
The initial video brief was for a video with alternating cgi and live action shots to give life to each one of the four gestures of Neova: Vibrato, Pitch Bend, Tilt and Roll.
After months of planning and brainstorming for the cgi parts of the video, we set out to shoot the live parts of the video.
During the shooting I had the ideas for two unplanned hybrid shots to better tie everything together: the ring wearing/plume screen reveal, and a front shot with the environments blending into the scene.
Both shots were tracked and created using Blender’s built-in tools, along with the free software and plugin fspy.

Each of the gesture’s environments were created to give life and add a bit of depth and expressivity to them, describing both the hand movements hand their effect on the sound.

Enhancia m’a contacté pour créer une vidéo unique pour la sortie du logiciel compagnon Plume pour leur anneau de contrôle midi Neova.
Le briefing initial consistait en une vidéo alternant des images de synthèse et des prises de vue réelles pour donner vie à chacun des quatre gestes de Neova : Vibrato, Pitch Bend, Tilt et Roll.

Après des mois de planification et de brainstorming pour les parties en images de synthèse de la vidéo, nous avons commencé à tourner les plans réels.
Pendant le tournage, j’ai eu l’idée de deux plans hybrides non prévus à l’avance pour mieux relier le tout : le port de la bague/la révélation de l’écran, et un plan frontal avec les environnements se fondant dans la scène.
Les deux plans ont été trackés et créés à l’aide des outils intégrés à Blender, ainsi que du logiciel et plugin gratuit fspy.

Les environnements de chacun des gestes ont été créés pour leur donner vie et leur donner un peu de profondeur et d’expressivité, décrivant à la fois les mouvements de la main et leur effet sur le son.
